The Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine (ICOM) is proud to announce that President Tracy Farnsworth has been recognized with the City of Meridian’s prestigious Legacy Award during the 2026 State of the City address.

Presented by Meridian Mayor Robert Simison, the Legacy Award honors individuals whose vision, leadership, and dedication have made a lasting impact on the Meridian community. Dr. Farnsworth was recognized for his instrumental role in bringing ICOM to Meridian and for his continued commitment to advancing healthcare education, workforce development, and community engagement throughout Idaho.
Since opening its doors in 2018, ICOM has graduated 734 osteopathic physicians who are helping address critical healthcare workforce needs across Idaho and the nation. Under Dr. Farnsworth’s leadership, the institution has become an integral part of Meridian’s growth and development, strengthening the city’s reputation as a hub for innovation, education, and healthcare excellence.
Maor Simison highlighted Dr. Farnsworth’s vision and perseverance in establishing Idaho’s first medical school, noting the transformative impact ICOM has had on the region by educating future physicians and expanding access to healthcare.
