Students from the Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine’s Health Professions Scholarship Program (HPSP) recently participated in the Association of Military Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons (AMOPS) Annual Conference, held in Boise, Idaho.

The conference brought together osteopathic physicians, military medical professionals, students, and healthcare leaders from across the country to discuss advancements in military medicine, leadership, readiness, and osteopathic healthcare in the armed forces. ICOM students had the opportunity to network with military physicians and officers, attend educational sessions, and engage in conversations about the future of military medicine.

Among the attendees, ICOM Student Physician Dylan Gardner received special recognition at the conference, earning the prestigious Junior Officer of the Year Award. The honor recognizes outstanding leadership, dedication to service, professional excellence, and commitment to military medicine.

ICOM’s HPSP students are part of a growing community of future osteopathic physicians committed to serving in the United States Armed Forces. Through military scholarship programs, these students combine medical education with leadership development and service to their country.
