The Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine welcomed its incoming class of medical students to campus for the first time, offering a full-day experience designed to give future students a feel for life at the school — and what lies ahead in their medical journey.
The event kicked off with a warm welcome from ICOM President, Dr. Tracy J. Farnsworth, who spoke about the school’s mission, commitment to quality education, and the transformative years awaiting the Class of 2029.
Throughout the day, the future students connected with faculty, current students, and each other through panel discussions, interactive sessions, and campus tours. Highlights included hands-on simulation and skills demonstrations, conversations about curriculum and clinical experiences, and informal Q&As about student life, wellness, and housing.
Accepted Students Day serves not only to inform, but to inspire. As the Class of 2029 begins to envision themselves in white coats, the future of medicine is already taking shape.
