The Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine is celebrating the selection of four alumni for the inaugural class of a new family medicine residency program in Nampa, Idaho. Just 10 miles from where their medical journey began, four recent graduates are now helping shape the future of community healthcare in the Treasure Valley.

The new residency program, based at the Saint Alphonsus Nampa campus, offers a comprehensive three-year training experience focused on full-spectrum family medicine. The program aims to address growing healthcare needs in underserved populations and provide residents with opportunities to train in both clinical and community-based settings.
The program launched on July 1 with six year-one resident physicians — four of whom are ICOM alumni. The residency is a collaboration between Saint Alphonsus and the Mountain States Institute for Graduate Medical Education and Research (MSIGMER), a nonprofit foundation of ICOM.
“These ICOM graduates reflect the very purpose of our College,” said Dr. Tracy Farnsworth, President of ICOM. “They are outstanding young men and women well prepared for the rigors of medical residency training. We are especially pleased they will be learning and serving here in the Treasure Valley.”
