How to prepare for, engage in, survive and maybe even thrive in Medical School.

My name is Jake Price, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor working full time on the campus of the Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine, ICOM.  It has been my job for over 4 years to engage with the behavioral, mental, and emotional needs of ICOM’s student doctors, when and however they may be needed.  This presentation is an opportunity to share with you some of the insights, lessons and wisdom that I and students have gained while “swimming in the deep end” of living in and through Medical School.

This will have a fairly open format, beginning with a short introduction and some anecdotes about the stages of Medical School that I have observed, and then the floor will be open for questions, answers, concerns and expiration, all in an effort to add clarity and insight onto the road ahead of you.
